India's Muddy Politics

People of India, consider politics as a sludge because of it atrocious nature. It is not only their perception but its a bitter truth. The person who enter politics with a goal to serve the country after sometime gets engaged in illegal acts. The main reason behind this is "Greed". As politics exercises great power, this power usually disturbs the mind set of the people. The person forgets his goal and ultimately gets himself engaged in acts which are outside of his autonomy and are against the country's benefit to fulfill his tank of ambitions . People usually forget that:
"With great power comes the great responsibilities."
Some corrupt politicians never even try to serve the people. The same politicians on the arrival of election start filling their vote banks. Firstly, they begin with the activity of throwing mud-shots on the opposition party. If any major incident took place in the term of that government they raise that issue or any other sensitive topic to put salt on the burns of common people. By giving speeches, by talking out rallies and by distributing money they beg people to give them vote. None way , no opportunity is left untouched by our politicians to earn vote. Their topmost aim are poor and destitute, as they know that a large section of our society is occupied by them and their vote is quite crucial to win the elections.
These shrewd cats also takes the help of social discrimination to fill their vote banks. By chance, if they win elections their visit to their vicinity is few and then. A majority of our politicians believe in minting rupees rather than helping people in lieu of their votes. All the big oaths and promises taken by our politician during elections are generally demolished by them after elections. As we are already familiar with the say that:
"Promises are meant to be broken."
Central Government spend crores for the upliftment of the citizens but by the time these crores reaches to the people, they are converted into lakhs. Also some orthodox minded politicians don't want government to pass the laws which can help in the uprising of opposite caste, creed or sex. We can take the example of "WOMEN RESERVATION BILL ." We know how our politicians stopped the law being adopted by giving nonsense reasons that one will laugh upon. After creating that much obstruction for the ruling government, they say that government has done nothing in the past 5 years for the country.
Actually the politicians for whom we have faith that they will pave the new path for India's development are those who dig the holes in the path of our country's development. Also we can't say that all politicians are corrupt and greedy beings but there is a majority of such kinds of politicians who believe in backstabbing the country for their own benefits.
It is not that they are only responsible for what we are seeing and experiencing today. We are also somewhere behind this problem. In fact , we can be called as the roots of this problem. We are those who elect such politicians. It is our duty to give vote to the right people. We should choose leaders who are sensible and are really willing do give something from their side to the country. Even one vote can change the future of our country.

Communal Harmony

Harmony in a nation refers to the peace and brotherhood among its citizens. For developing a soulful music it is necessary that all the music instruments work in a coordinated manner. Similarly, for working of a nation its necessary that all its citizen live in harmony and brotherhood. Harmony can also be described as a reaction which produces several noble by products such as unity, humanity, love and affection. Our country follows the GANDHIAN principles and spreads the message of fraternity. Though India is a widely diverse nation, but its like a dream come true when we see a sense of brotherhood among its citizens. It is due to communal harmony that in recent years India has dominated on the social and economical front. Even though our constitution provides a full-proof base to have a strong building of Communal harmony but our country is still facing difficulties to maintain it.

The biggest boulder on the road of communal harmony is religion. Now the question arises:
What is religion? Religion is a set of noble ideas which shows the correct path to its followers so that their birth on this Earth doesn't go waste. Every religion propagates the moral of fraternity, peace and harmony, but the followers of the religion has failed to interpret the correct meaning of these ideas. People feel that their religion is superior than the other one which has created barriers among the followers of different religion. It is sad to see that now religion has also been divided into fragments called CASTE. It is said that" THE SMALLER THE THING IS, BIGGER THE PROBLEM IT CREATES." Similarly, caste being a small fragment is now-a-days creating much bigger problems in our society. Everyday we see the newspapers filled with the news of curfew, massacre and disputes because - a single person of some other caste or religion said something that panicked the other religion or caste.
The only solution of this problem lies in harmony and brotherhood. I sincerely think that to overcome this problem it is necessary that "WE THE PEOPLE OF INDIA break the physically unseen walls of religion and caste" and try to give birth to a new age where we all move hand in hand, work as a single unit and pave the path of peace, harmony and development.

Cloud Seeding !

Cloud Seeding is a practice which is widely done now a days. It is a attempt done to increase or decrease the amount and type of precipitation. It is done by dispersing some type of substances (mainly chemicals) in the atmosphere which alters the micro-physical processes within the cloud. We may say that these substances work as a catalyst within the clouds which may increase or decrease the rate of processes within the cloud. We have listened that the trees cause rainfall but we never tried to know how is done. The answer is:
Trees produce TERPENES in the warm weather conditions which acts as a natural form of cloud seeding. TERPENES are released by some insects example: Mites and Swallowtail butterflies. Terpenes are a large and a varied class of hydrocarbons which are mainly released by Coniferous tress example: Pine. The name "terpene" is derived from the word TURPENTINE. Turpentine obtained by the distillation of resins obtained from trees.
As there are many natural processes which helps in cloud seeding, there are many man-made processes which too contribute in cloud-seeding. Now-a-days silver iodide and dry ice are used as agents for cloud seeding. Seeding of cloud can only take place when they contain liquid water at temperature less than zero degree Celsius. Now the question arises that:

HOW THESE CHEMICALS ARE DISPERSED IN THE AIR?
ANS. These chemicals are dispersed by the aircraft and through dispersion devices on the land. On release of these chemicals from the ground these chemicals are dispersed by air currents.

CLOUD SEEDING "A CURSE !"
Cloud seeding appears to be a curse for humanity as we have introduced ourselves to cases like this. We know that during the summer Olympics in Beijing the China launched rockets to stop rain in the opening and the closing ceremony of the Olympics which resulted in drought which lasted for several months.

Is Delhi ready for games?

With the arrival of year 2010, the people of Delhi are in great excitement about the 11th Commonwealth Games. So here we are with only 193 days left in Commonwealth games. Before we discuss our main topic its necessary for us to know about its history.

The Commonwealth games is an international event with multiple sports. Its main motto is HUMANITY-EQUALITY-DESTINY. It is held after every four years and involves the participation of elite athletes of the Commonwealth of Nations. Previously it was known as the BRITISH EMPIRE GAMES and firstly took place at Hamilton, Canada in 1930. The name which presently it assumes was given in 1978. There are currently 53 member countries of these games and 71 teams take part in these games.
The idea to hold these types of games was firstly proposed by the Reverend Astley Cooper in 1891. He suggested that the games are a way to create the goodwill and good understanding among British Empire and its colonies. There are only 6 teams which have taken part in all the Commonwealth games taken place till now. They are: Canada, New Zealand, England, Wales, Australia and Scotland. The Commonwealth Games are organized by the Commonwealth Games Federation (CCF) which is responsible for direction and control of the Commonwealth Games.

Only seven months remain for Commonwealth games but it seems as if Delhi is not ready to handle the games. Many projects like the work on flyovers, metro extensions are still lagging behind. The time is slipping from the hands of our country. Moreover, the work on JAWAHARLAL NEHRU STADIUM and SHAYAMA PRASAD MUKHERJEE swimming complex is still not completed. The whole sight appears to be quite messy.

Mike Hooper, the chief executive of Commonwealth Games Federation (CCF) said in an interview that the "The deadlines are being pushed further every time".

Oscar goes to........

This year, I think there was a great tragedy their (Kodak theaters) as the award for the best film of the year was snatched away by Kathryn Bigelow's -The Hurt locker. The film based on Iraq wars beat the most talked about film AVATAR. I think there was a great set back for James Cameron as her ex-wife took away the the golden statue home. This award showed that the academy not lay emphasis on big box office collectors, It gives away the award on the basis of the efficiency and content of the movie to shake the audience and most importantly the academy.
I felt bad for the James Cameron as he got defeat from his ex-wife. Its noticed that the academy mostly gives award for the films based on savages of war . For example: films like Schindler's List,The Pianist, Life is beautiful and many more are there. It seems that the academy like these kind of films. While the films based on non-terrestrial creatures (AVATAR) and animations usually are thrown out by the academy. The HURT LOCKER won five other awards including, in a surprise Best Director for Bigelows.
While the best actress award was given to SANDRA BULLOCK for her role in 'BLIND SIDE' and the best actor award was given to JEFF BRIDGES for his role in 'CRAZY HEART'.
